Paul works with contract management in CMA Contiki as a C# developer from Jan 2008.

Education in computer science from the university of Lviv, Ukraine. Worked for 4.5 years in Moscow (educational software, game development, UI frameworks), where also contributed as a co-author in “Flash MX for professional developers” book.

Among Paul’s passions are good and simple code, challenging problems, piano playing, traveling.

Services without Web Services
“Services without Web Services” is a case-study in translating a simple customer requirement into a well-designed set of web services, following SOA best-practices. During the first half, we follow along as a few changes in the specification lead to a large, complex, and difficult to change application. We’ll then spend the rest of the time looking at/demoing some code that approaches the same problem from a different perspective, and discuss how an messaging-based design avoids the problems mentioned above.
